Mastering Services

How to proceed:

  1. First you need to prepare your tracks for mastering. Do not put any "mastering" fx on your master bus (ex: eq, compressor, limiter, etc) that will prevent the engineer from having full control on the sound and do a proper work!
  2. Do the best mixdown you can, without those processing fx on the master bus. Many producer are now used to have those since the very start of their project... That is a very bad habit that you should break! Producing while having eq and compressor on the master prevent you from having the real reference when working on each sound, on each of your channel and do a proper mixdown... when you'll remove those to send for mastering you'll notice that your mixdown is screwed if you produce with those!
  3. Once you're happy with your mixdown, make sure you have 3 db of headroom (that your peak meter do not go over -3db) and then render your track in wav or aiff format at a minimum of 44.1Khz at 16bit. The best is at 88.2Khz at 32bit. Please do not use sampling rate as 48Khz or 96Khz if the final product is to be deliver within the redbook standard (44.1Khz at 16bit). You're better going with 88.2Khz since it's a multiple of 44.1Khz, and less digital mistake can occur when we'll be rendering the final master. Please be advise that if you're mixing in 44.1Khz, you're better to render it in 44.1Khz too, as rendering in 88.2khz will change how your mixdown will sound.
  4. Upload your pre-master file on a file hosting services as some listed in the links section. We can provide you a private ftp account on our server if requested, for regular clients only.
  5. Processing time is about 5 opening days. When ready, we'll send you a preview for approval.
  6. When approved, send the payment via paypal at payment@intertechrecords.com or using the paypal button above, and will send back the full master to you. Please note that when you already worked with us and already know what you can expect from us, we appreciate when the payment is sent at the same time then the pre-master file. It makes everything more efficient and help give you a faster services!

**Keep in mind that the better the track is before mastering, the best it will be after mastering.**
